A hidden gem. Amazing views. Brilliant staff but more importantly the food is absolutely delicious, so fresh and bursting with flavour. Amazing meal here with family over from the states. Will be back. From starters to mains was delicious but the dessert stole the show , so unusual but the flavours in it 😋😋😋

Lovely place. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Provided a delicious chowder to two tired and hungry sailors despite kitchen not actual serving at the time, and helped us on our way to the airport. All care very much appreciated.

A first visit to The Oar in Crosshaven under new ownership. Lovely welcome on arrival and good table with a view of passing sailing boats. Nice menu from which we selected scallop starter, seafood pie and mussels with chips. Delicious! Good choices for us! Some room for ice cream dessert. This is a well set up restaurant with good food and service. Recommend a visit.

Had a meal here today with my partner. It’s a lovely little pub with friendly staff and nice view. I found the food portions to be a bit small ( maybe I’m just fat tho) but everything on our plates was delicious. Has a great choice on the menu to cater for everyone’s needs. All in all a decent aul spot. I’d return. Thanks.

We ate in JP’s bar The Oar Crosshaven twice on our trip. Awesome service, Craic, food and drink. Recommend the Calamari for starter, steak for main and a nice Jameson to end :) We also had a nice fish & chips and chicken wings which were delish..

Have eaten at the oar 3 times in my week holiday in crosshaven. Really friendly staff clean and comfortable surroundings can’t wait to visit again

We really enjoyed our meal in this establishment. We shared a starter of perfect crispy well flavoured squid. Our main courses were an excellent Portuguese style Cataplana ( seafood stew) and a really tasty Hake with Beetroot cream sauce. Deserts were a berry roulade and a well filled apple tart with crème anglaise. Service by Rebecca was faultless. The only negative was that we were seated on an outside balcony and people were smoking beside us which was unnecessary as there were plenty of food free places for smokers. We will definitely return again soon.

New menu, with great options, for me the meat-eater a gorgeous twice marinated steak. For my companion who has experienced in other establishments poor vegetarian choices, it was great to have a menu with a number of vegetarian options. My vegetarian companion was delighted with his choice of the halloumi burger. He’s already looking forward to returning so that he can try the bean chili with nachos. Looking forward to returning in September 2021 when on my holidays, and enjoying another steak meal paired with a nice 2016 Rioja! :)

JP the owner was a great host and met all our requests with a smile. The food was great, the service was great and from upstairs you get a great view of the harbour.

Great harbor side pub with wide selection of beer, whiskey, lovely coffees. Great burgers and other pub food. Friendly staff, pub games and fireplace.
